Are You Willing to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there should be a thing that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, the thing that was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Think of your lifetime because it is apparently nowadays in terms of the story. Just how do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I do believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So whenever we talk about the past stage of the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon all of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It's similar to building a big house of cards, stacking on one card following the other a course in miracles. A good wind arrives and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon the rest; all those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It certainly comes right down to the essence of who is my buddy? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this 1?So you are asking the question, “When someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening can tell you is that everything is mental and that everything is just a hallucination. That is a full world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it's for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number 4, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's speaing frankly about thoughts. First He's speaing frankly about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's trying to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, which will be trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's exactly the method of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What sort of things can you spend money on, nowadays?
