Are You Prepared to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there has to be something which you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, the thing that was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Consider your life as it seems to be in this world in terms of the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So whenever we speak about the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon many of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world a course in miracles authors. It's kind of like making a big house of cards, stacking on a single card after the other. Then a good wind occurs and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It had been this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon anything else; those things that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It certainly comes right down to the essence of who's my cousin? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this 1?So you're asking the question, “If someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all this is heading is always to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will highlight is that everything is mental and that everything is just a hallucination. This is a full world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the text between thought and form. His lessons begin with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all the meaning it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number four, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's discussing thoughts. First He's discussing perception, then about our thoughts, then He returns with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You can see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, which is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back to that particular timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things. What type of things would you purchase, in this world?
